Staff and residents spend meaningful moments together at Elizabeth House during Tools Down.

Across Runwood Homes, we value our Tools Down initiative hugely, and staff at Elizabeth House shared some of their recent meaningful moments during Tools Down. Staff did some stretching yoga activities with residents, as well as baking and playing connect-four, all of which encourages staff and residents to connect on a meaningful level.

At 11am every day, staff in all departments at each and every one of our residential care and nursing homes, come together for ‘tools down’. For a period of 30 minutes, staff will halt their tasks to spend quality time together with our residents, including those who are limited to their bedrooms, to enjoy conversation, company and to grow companionships. This initiative aims to keep everyone connected with meaningful engagement and communication.
