Atherstone Ball Race
Atherstone
is famous for the Ball Race which happens every Shrove Tuesday.
A large ball is
passed/thrown and tackled all the way down the main street. The ball was
brought into Bracebridge today for residents to sign it so it is a lasting
memory for the winner of the ball of all the locals that have touched and signed
it.
