Runwood Homes connects with Morrisons for dementia awareness session
Kieun Kwon, Associate Director of Dementia Services and Rose Elliot, Dementia Services Manager at Runwood Homes, recently met with Morrisons employees at their store in Hadleigh, Essex, for an informative ‘Dementia Friends’ session; an initiative introduced by the Alzheimer’s Society to change people’s perceptions of dementia.
Situated virtually next door to Runwood Homes’ Head Office, the team at Morrisons supermarket in Hadleigh are keen to gain a better understanding about the effects of dementia in order to provide a dementia-friendly store and an improved service for its customers.
Runwood Homes is committed to raising awareness of dementia and teach people how help those living with dementia live well. The Runwood Homes Dementia Services Team works proactively across our portfolio of residential care homes, all of which offer 24-hour expert care for those living with dementia, supporting staff and families and building dementia-friendly connections within the community.
