I joined the care sector in 2001 as a Care Assistant because I wanted to contribute to meaningful change in the care of older people. I worked my way up to my current Senior Management, developing my skills and experience working for several large private and non-profit organisations. I have had the opportunity to lead projects such as care homes acquisitions, commissioning of new builds and turning around care homes facing challenges.
I enjoy creating an enthusiastic working environment where team members are positively encouraged to fully contribute to the success of the business. I like taking time to talk to home managers, staff, residents and their relatives about what is happening in their home. I find that this is the best way to discover how to improve our services, by getting the perspectives on life in the care homes that you cannot get from anywhere else.
