Volunteers hold community fundraiser at Victoria House Day Centre
In January, volunteers of Victoria House Day Centre and Greenbanks residential care home in Greenbank Road, Watford, held a community event to help a local support group raise funds for the Peace Hospice Care, a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients and families facing a life limiting illness.
The volunteers at Victoria House, situated next door to our residential care home, Greenbanks, supplied and freshly cooked a 3 course luncheon for 31 guests, 6 clients of the Day Centre and 2 staff members, who were present to support day care visitors.
Guests paid £12.00ph and there was background music and a raffle which created a great atmosphere. An amazing £335 was raised and guests really appreciated the use of the lovely facilities at Victoria House Day Centre in Watford.
Thank you very much to volunteers, Dave and Gail Smith, for providing their amazing services and helping our local Watford community.
