Runwood Homes receives 2019 CareHome.co.uk awards
Runwood Homes are delighted, once again, to be awarded carehome.co.uk Top 20 UK Care Home Group award for 2019!
Additionally, a number of our residential care and nursing homes, who also specialise in dementia care, received the 'Top 20 Recommended Care Home 2019' award within their regions, highlighted as the most recommended care homes. The awards are based on over 120,000 reviews from care home residents as well as their friends and family.
Congratulations to Kathryn Court care home in Shoeburyness, Essex, Magherafelt Manor in County Londonderry and Glenabbey Manor in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Talking about their achievement, the professional care team at Magherafelt Manor said, "Magherafelt Manor has strong family-orientated atmosphere. All grades of staff work together tirelessly to continually strive for excellence in the care of our residents. We are delighted to have reached Top 20 status. All our staff feel extremely proud that their hard work and dedication has been recognised."
Home Manager, Donna Winterborne, speaks of the service at Kathryn Court, "I am extremely proud that Kathryn Court has developed a reputation for our friendly and family orientated approach to care and that we have received an award from Care homes UK for being in the Top 20 most recommended care homes in the East of England for five years running. It is with the continued support of the staff, residents, families and the local community that this is possible.
At Kathryn Court we strive to continually develop both the service and those working within it to ensure we are providing a dignified, personalised approach to individual care. We have good staff retention with a majority of our staff working within the home from 5-15 years; we develop and encourage our staff to ensure they have extensive knowledge and understanding to support our residents overall health and well-being.
We actively encourage families and the local community to be part of the home; we have an open door policy and have close links with schools, colleges and local businesses. We feel privileged to have good relationships with health professionals."
Thank you very much to our relatives, their families, and our dedicated staff, along with friends of our homes for all of your support as we continue to provide 24-hour, person-centred care for all of our residents in all of our residential care and nursing homes across the UK.
