Silvanna Court residents in Wickford, Essex, have been keeping active with cooking sessions and a trip out to their local restaurant.

Staff at Silvanna Court have been holding two cooking sessions a week for residents to get involved in. The ladies in particular have been enjoying having regular cooking classes and always look forward to cooking something new. Many people will have spent a lot of time over the years either preparing or working with food. Offering opportunities to continue this can help give a sense of purpose and usefulness, boosting confidence and self-esteem, as well as promoting an interest in food and mealtimes.

At the beginning of the month residents went to their local Toby Carvery to enjoy a delicious pub lunch. The residents thoroughly enjoyed their outdoor trip, and said the food was lovely.
