Leatherland Lodge resident, Mr. Divine, revisits his past love for boxing.

Mr. Divine, a resident at Leatherland Lodge, used to box in the Army within his ranks and had a great passion for it. When Mr. Divine was ‘Resident of The Day’ at the home, he told staff that he would like to do boxing again.

To make his dreams become reality, the home’s manager, Kerry Cooper, and Wellbeing Lead arranged for him to visit one of their local boxing homes. Mr. Divine said he had an amazing time, and the boxing hall have been gracious enough to invite other residents to have access to their facilities.

Leatherland Lodge is a 48 bed, purpose built home situated in Thurrock, Essex. This spacious home provides expert care for older people, including those living with dementia.
