Residents of Stenson Court move into brand new home, Liberty House

We are pleased to report that the residents of Stenson Court care home have safely and smoothly moved into their new home; a brand new, purpose-built home nearby, Liberty House. 

This safe transfer of residents, in consultation with both the residents and their families, to our newest care home sees the closure of Stenson Court. The home will not reopen and the site will be returned to Doncaster Council, as part of a long term partnership agreement. 

Life at Liberty House for all residents will be a truly positive transition, and residents are already well settled. The modern and beautifully decorated home offers of multiple day rooms and dining areas, two outdoor living spaces, a cinema, café, bar area and spacious private en suite bedrooms. 

Our residents are reassuringly receiving continuity of care, important to their health and wellbeing, as their carers have also transferred to the new home, and everyone is enjoying the modern facilities available, and the well-designed environment that the Runwood Homes estates team have proudly created. 

Residents from another local Runwood Homes care home, Plantation View, will also be moving to Liberty House soon, helping to create a vibrant community amongst old friends and new.
