We have some amazing news to share with you! We’d like to give a huge round of applause to two exceptional members of the team at Stafford Hall care home in South Benfleet, Essex. Our Care Assistants, Cathy Ranson and Lorraine Windsor, have both recently been announced as Finalists in two separate Awards.
Lorraine Windsor has been nominated to receive the Knight Frank Healthcare Hero Award. She made the shortlist due to her continued dedication to her residents, going above and beyond to keep spirits high and providing emotion support for all during the pandemic. Adding to this, Lorraine thoughtfully goes out of her way to shop for residents to ensure they have anything that they ever want or need, she brings in treats each week to put smiles on faces and would ferry around staff so that they didn’t have to use public transport, all in her own time. She’s a highly valued member of the team so deserving of this fantastic recognition. Well done!
Cathy Ranson has been announced as a Finalist in the 2020 NAPA Awards Unsung Hero category. Cathy’s commitment to residents and their families, as well as her colleagues, stretches beyond her duties as a professional carer. As a Lay Minister at her local Church, Cathy’s extends her natural ability to offer support and kindness with true empathy, helping so many people in times of need, offering prayers and the kindest of words to anyone whom it may bring comfort to. Cathy has supported residents, their families as well as colleagues at a time of difficulty or loss, and conducts funeral arrangements and services too if asked. We wish Cathy all the very best for the finals and thank her for her ongoing contributions to everyone connected to Stafford Hall. Well done!
Knight Frank is a highly regarded, healthcare industry insight organisation, and NAPA stands for National Activity Providers Associated, of which Runwood Homes is a member of, to assist in enhancing the meaningful and engaging activities available in our homes.
