Update regarding visiting arrangements as of 8th January 2021
Many local authorities across the country have decided that visiting in care homes should cease until the current COVID-19 crisis reduces. To best protect our residents, we have regrettably temporarily decided to suspend all visiting to loved ones at Runwood Homes, effective immediately. We aim to review this on the 21st January 2021.
We can assure you that this was not an easy decision to make. However, we cannot ignore the fact that we are still seeing an increasing amount of cases each day. We are dedicated to focusing on the vaccination programme, to ensure our residents can begin getting back to normal life.
Over the course of the next two weeks, up until the 21st January 2021, we are hopeful that this circuit breaker initiative will help to reduce the spread of COVID-19 across the country. During this time period, Runwood Homes will remain committed to ensuring all staff members and residents are offered the vaccination against SARS-CoV-2.
Each home has a Communications Champion, dedicated to ensuring communication between residents and loved ones is maintained during restricted visiting. Please expect to hear from a Communications Champion soon on how they can assist you.
For any assistance, please contact Runwood Homes directly at info@runwoodhomes.co.uk, or contact a home directly.
Thank you for your patience in what continues to be a challenging time for us all. We look forward to bringing you further updates.
