Update - Visiting changes update as of 13th January 2021
Runwood Homes have reviewed their visiting policy and are delighted to re-open pod visits and closed window visits to mirror the national guidance.
As Runwood Homes can now currently facilitate visits for residents and their loved ones in their homes, where no local restrictions are in place, using the special visiting pods or outdoors, such as window visits, where the windows are kept shut to ensure residents are kept safe. Visits using these methods should be booked via the care home directly and must be booked in advance, so they can facilitate all requests.
Please note such visits may be temporarily suspended should local government advice change. There are currently some local authorities in regions across the country that have advised that visiting is currently ceased in care homes.
We will continue to close to all forms of visiting during an outbreak apart from for residents nearing the end of life.
We are doing our utmost to keep residents in touch with their families using a wide range of tools, such as operating virtual visiting via video calling as well as facilitating telephone calls. To discuss these options further please kindly contact the care home directly.
Thank you to our incredible care teams and thank you also for your support and kind understanding throughout these difficult times.
Take care and stay safe,
Runwood Homes
