Stafford Hall Care Assistant Recognised in Knight Franks Healthcare Heroes Awards

The award recognises outstanding people within the social care sector, who have shown tremendous leadership, empathy and compassion throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Lorraine was nominated for the award due to her exceptional efforts to go above and beyond; coming into work on her days off during visiting restrictions at the home and presenting residents with cakes and biscuits to spread cheer during a difficult time. Lorraine would also shop for toiletries, new clothes and slippers for residents as gifts, and during the pandemic would travel outside of working hours to pick up and drop off colleagues so that they could avoid public transport. To ensure that the home was always safe for staff and residents, Lorraine also assisted with the additional rigorous cleaning responsibilities, to help and support the domestic team.

 

This is a great achievement for Lorraine and Runwood Homes are extremely proud and honoured to have her as part of the team.
