Essential Caregiver role: Everything you need to know

Runwood Homes' Chief Operating Officer, Gavin O'Hare-Connolly, discusses the Essential Caregiver scheme; how you can become one, the benefits, and what type of support you can expect to receive from Runwood Homes.

 

Gavin shared his observations of the scheme, saying, "We have seen huge benefits from the Essential Caregiver role, in terms of improved emotional health and mood, weight gain, improved mobility, and generally happier and healthy residents in our homes.

 

We encourage family members and loved ones to get involved in this initiative, where you will be offered additional training, a risk assessment to keep you and your loved one safe, and a chance to join a wider forum at Runwood Homes Senior Living, where Essential Caregivers meet on a monthly basis to talk about their experience and the benefits it offers to those living in our care homes."
