Leawood Manor complete the Intergenerational Unity Learning Project 2021

Leawood Manor have received their certificate of recognition for taking part in an Intergenerational project with a local primary school. The two-week project saw residents work together with the pupils via Zoom. The children presented an excellent project based on Robin Hood, which involved both pupils and residents in making hats, taking part in quizzes and exercise sessions, singing songs and question time.

The residents at Leawood Manor absolutely loved participating in the project, which allowed them to connect with the younger generation, talking, listening, following instructions and answering the pupil’s questions.

The initiative aims to tackle social isolation and build community links, both of which the residents of Leawood Manor have benefited from.

Well done Leawood Manor!
