Leawood Manor celebrate Diwali

On the 4th of November, Leawood Manor residents and staff celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights.

The day’s activities included making Rangoli (coloured sand art), candles and paper lanterns.

Residents enjoyed listening to traditional Indian music and had the opportunity to dress up in colourful Sarees.

The catering team cooked a selection of delicious Indian food, which included samosas, bhajis and kachoris.

Finally, everyone enjoyed watching the candles being lit at the front door.

The event attracted a lot of interest and discussion. Homes across the Runwood Homes Group strive to create a welcoming environment for all, celebrating diversity and the opportunity to learn about many different cultures and traditions.
