St Patrick's Day Celebrations!

Homes across the group had great fun today celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Residents at The Grange, in Wickford, enjoyed the day with plenty of themed snacks and drinks, singing traditional Irish songs, and some even enjoyed tasting Guinness too. The team and residents celebrated with flags, hats and lots of decorations to get into the spirit of the day. The One Voice Choir at the home, which is made up of residents, decided to learn and perform the song, ‘Danny Boy’, in which resident Peter commented:

“I love this kind of music, it makes me emotional, but I still like it”

Resident Oli is from Co Meath and so really enjoyed wishing everyone a Happy St Patrick’s Day and sporting his very best Irish top.

At Heron Court, in Brentwood, the residents made a brilliant St Patrick’s Day display and adorned the home in green before participating in their themed activities!

In Langdon Hills, residents at Evelyn May House enjoyed a brilliant Irish tea party, with green coloured cakes and a bit of Guinness too. The residents had so much fun celebrating together and loved the decorations and the tasty treats.

Humfrey Lodge, in Thaxted, enjoyed trying Guinness, then took part in a very entertaining themed quiz, word search and colouring.
