Residents have a furtastic day at Waterfield House dog show
Waterfield House care home in Hadleigh, Ipswich, have hosted their very own dog show, inviting members of the community to bring along their furry friends to enter a series of fun and entertaining competitions throughout the day, including best costume, best trick, waggiest tail, most adorable, dog most like its owner, best moves and young handler, to name a few!
The team were delighted to see such a great turnout and the day was made all the better with such brilliant weather. The residents were thrilled to see so many dogs at their home and really enjoyed getting involved in the day’s activities. Pat Woods, a resident at Waterfield House, really enjoyed being the assistant judge and commented:
“I had a fantastic time looking at all the dogs, they were all very well-behaved, and we had lovely weather for the day too. I cannot wait for the next show.”
The winners of the competition received their very own Runwood Rosettes to show off their achievement.
Along with light-hearted competitions taking place throughout the day, everyone who attended could also enjoy a selection of delicious food, which was very kindly provided by Oscars Mobile Catering. Burgers, hot dogs, chips and hot and cold drinks were just some of the refreshments on offer for people to enjoy throughout the event. The team would like to extend their thanks to Julie Taylor from Oscars Mobile Catering for the food.
The Waterfield House dog show is just one of many events that the home has organised. The team are always looking for ways to welcome in the wider community and to host events that everyone can enjoy. The dog show was a huge success, as all those who attended, including the home’s residents, had a brilliant time.
