Suzy Smith

I have been a health and social care professional for 20+ years and have been a successful registered care home manager for some of the largest care service providers in the UK. I have worked in a wide range of care settings including within a major hospital, several community-based care roles, and as a registered care home manager. More recently I have specialised in dementia care management, and in a recent role I managed a care home exclusively for residents with dementia where I made significant improvements in facilities, services, and overall standards of care.

I have experience of multi-site management, specifically in order to address homes that have serious issues requiring urgent remedial action. I am also a Champion for the Alzheimer’s Society, and I engage in regular fundraising activities, and I was finalist in the National Dementia Care Awards and care 2014 for best dementia care manager.
