Residents at Braywood Gardens celebrate Wimbledon in style
At Braywood Gardens, the team love to celebrate different events throughout the year, so they knew they had to mark the beginning of Wimbledon.
Residents at the Nottingham care home made their way out into their garden this week to play a game of tennis to mark the occasion.
Not only was it great fun, but the game also helped to keep residents active, which has a multitude of benefits. Residents had a fantastic time, and there were lots of smiles around.
After a friendly match or two, residents enjoyed a well-deserved break, including strawberries and cream in the sun. At Braywood Gardens, wellbeing and community is at the centre of the home’s values.
Lydia Morris, Customer Relations Manager at Braywood Gardens, said:
““We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. It brought such joy to the residents’ faces, and it was great to have discussions of people’s memories of Wimbledon. It was wonderful to mark the start of Wimbledon in style and eat classic strawberries and cream like we were there. We will now be following the Wimbledon journey this year.”
Braywood Gardens look forward to inviting the local community of Carlton to a special event on 2nd July, which will feature a performance from the homes very own choir, as well as live music. The home will also be launching a Dementia Café on 4th July, which will be held the first Monday of every month.
