Windmill House celebrates Afternoon Tea Week

Windmill House, operated by Runwood Homes, were delighted to join thousands of care homes across the UK, with NAPA, to celebrate National Afternoon Tea Week.

The local Wymondham Morrisons PLC kindly supported the event by providing strawberries, scones, jam and cream as part of their local community initiative.

Residents, relatives and the team at Windmill House reminisced over past memories, whilst enjoying a wide range of music from the resident’s favourite artists.

The care home also welcomed expert dancing duo, Richard and Lynn, who entertained the residents with an afternoon of jives.

Fran Annis, Wellbeing Lead at Windmill House, said: ‘We want to thank NAPA for such a special concert organized for National Afternoon Tea Week. The team, residents and relatives enjoyed a fun packed party and reminisced over past times and memories.

Special thank you to Lynn and Richard for their expert jive dancing and to Morrisons Community Champion Sharon, for their continued support and delivery of the delicious scones, strawberries, cream, and jam.’

Sharon, Community Champion from Morrisons PLC, said: ‘Playing an active role in our local communities really matters to our customers, as it's where they live, work and play and Windmill House is just around the corner from Morrisons Wymondham so we were thrilled to help them with their afternoon tea party and will continue to help with any future activities.’
