The biggest summer fête and dog show of the year at Waterfield House
The largest summer fête and dog show at Waterfield House care home in Hadleigh was a resounding success.
On Wednesday the 10th of August, residents, families, and the team at Waterfield House, thoroughly enjoyed a fun-filled day with raffles, games, dogs, and an extra special performance from Miss Lesley’s School of Performing Arts.
Waterfield House received a generous amount of donations from the local community, from organisations such as Ben & Terri's Ice Gleam Valet, EriVica Cakes, Morrison's, Sweet memories, Adnams, Paddy & Scott, Hadleigh Mobility Centre, Greggs, Jimmy Chews Ipswich, Pop Up Barber Shop, Tracey Robinson Cakes, Sophie's Bakes & Treats, and Nicola Jane Photography.
In total, the event raised a fantastic £345.22 for the residents, which will contribute to days out within the local community and extra amenities for the home.
Amanda Thackery, Home Manager for Waterfield House, said “It was fantastic to see relatives’ families, old and new, come together with the local community to celebrate an extra special day with the residents. A massive thank you must go to all the staff who came in on their days off, and to all staff on shift, for making the day run smoothly. I also want to thank everyone; businesses, families and the local community, who supported the event, as we would not have achieved such staggering success without you all.”
