Maun View Care Home Bring Festive Cheer this Christmas time to Local Community
Maun View care home in Mansfield, Nottingham, hosted a Christmas fayre, full of festive cheer, on Saturday the 10th of December.
The home’s activity room was transformed into a Christmas wonderland, with a variety of stalls catered to residents, families, and their young ones. Attendees were able to join in a raffle and tombola as well as enjoy the crafting stalls, hook-a-duck, cake stalls, lucky dip stalls, indoor games and skittles.
Maun View care home had the distinct pleasure of welcoming two hired professional singers, Shaun Gahan and his partner, Jodie Harris, to entertain residents and the wider community.
Organised by Nia Alston-Holmes, the event was the biggest Christmas fayre to date, pulling together the team and resident's families to support the day.
Nia established links with local community organisations, such as Yvette Price-Mear Olms, local Morrisons community champion, Amanda Hamilton and local community charity, Hetty’s, all of whom provided support with stalls, cakes, and information for the community.
Nia Alston-Holmes, Wellbeing Lead for Maun View care home, said: “It was a great day, lots of families came and brought their extended family. Residents were overjoyed to mix with lots of visitors and were delighted to win prizes on the raffle and the tombola.”
