Suffolk Art Link: Supporting the health and wellbeing of Runwood Homes residents in Suffolk
Waterfield House care home in Hadleigh, Ipswich, has welcomed a new charity organisation to support the health and wellbeing of the residents at the Suffolk care home.
In four sessions with Suffolk Art Link, residents at the care home have been undertaking mosaics and tiling, music with Charlie and drawing their favourite hobbies.
The last session will be taking place in April which will involve flower arrangements with Wellbeing Lead, Vicki.
The care home invited resident’s families and the team at Waterfield House to participate in a variety of activities.
Waterfield House forged the partnership with Suffolk Art Link in 2022, an arts charity that works to support health and wellbeing for the communities in the East, bringing skills, support networks, confidence and joy to people’s lives.
The care home was fortunate enough to receive an invitation from Cabinet Member Communities and Wellbeing of Babergh District Council, Mary McLaren, to participate in activities with the residents.
One family member said: “It is amazing to get everyone involved and having a great time joining in. Seeing the residents interacting and having a laugh was a wonderful sight to witness.”
