Forget me not dementia café opens its door at Bramwell care home
In a heartwarming endeavour to support the community, Bramwell care home proudly announced the grand opening of their Forget me not Dementia Café. This compassionate initiative is set to provide a warm, welcoming space for those living with dementia, their families, carers and industry professionals.
The opening of the Café took place on Wednesday the 4th October between 14:30 and 16:00.
Attendees were greeted with a complimentary tea or coffee, accompanied by delicious cakes. This inviting atmosphere aimed to foster connections, share experiences, and offer valuable support.
As part of the grand opening, a special guest speaker took part at the local dementia café to provide useful insights into dementia care.
The care home also received a visit from the local Mayor, Teresa Cullen, who took the time to greet residents and families at this significant community event.
In a touching gesture, Bramwell care home residents planted bulbs in the garden to mark this special occasion. As these blooms emerge, they will serve as a reminder of the day when the forget-me-not dementia café first opened its doors.
This occasion is not a one-time only event; it is a monthly commitment, open on the first Wednesday of each month, providing a consistent source of support and guidance for the local community.
Bramwell care home extended a warm invitation to all in the community to join them on October the 4th for an afternoon of connection and experiences.
