Runwood Homes presented a whimsical celebration for National Mad Hatter’s Day and Home Manager Rachel’s birthday bash
Lower Meadow care home in Stratford-Upon-Avon, hosted a fantastical fusion of festivities as they celebrated both National Mad Hatter’s Day and Home Manager Rachel’s birthday in a uniquely themed celebration.
On the 6th of October, the care team dressed in their most whimsical hats and rolled out the red carpet for residents, team and friends as they transformed the home into a wonderland. The occasion was a grand “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ complete with an afternoon tea featuring an assortment of teas, delightful party games, delicious cakes, savoury sandwiches and a selection of nibbles.
What made this day doubly special was the surprise birthday celebration for Home Manager Rachel, whose birthday coincided with the event. While Rachel was aware of the planned tea party, she was blissfully unaware that her team had orchestrated a birthday celebration in her honour. Lower Meadow were hard at work, ensuring that this surprise celebration was a memorable and heartwarming moment for Rachel.
“We wanted to create an event that would bring joy to our residents and staff and what better way to do that than by embracing the enchantment of National Mad Hatter’s Day” said Jasmine Kessey, Deputy Manager at Lower Meadow care home.
“It’s a day to celebrate imagination, whimsy and the joy of coming together and, of course, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make Home Manager, Rachel’s birthday extra special. Her leadership has been a cornerstone of our home, and we’re thrilled to celebrate her in this unique way.”
As part of their commitment to fostering a sense of community and joy among their residents, Runwood Homes is dedicated to creating unique, memorable experiences, and this event is no exception.
