Bracebridge Court resident prepares garden for winter.

Michael, a resident, at Bracebridge Court care home in Warwickshire, worked hard tending to the homes hanging baskets. Michael didn’t let the bitter cold stop him from switching in some winter plants, maintaining the home and being proud of where he lives.

Gardening has many health and therapeutic benefits for older people, especially those living with dementia. Gardening can reduce stress levels and provide a sense of accomplishment, as well as improving wellbeing as a result of social interaction.
