Meet Our Home Manager

Sam Bernard

Sam, Home Manager at Maun View, has a clear and real passion for the home, as this is where he began his career in care. During his time at Runwood Homes, Sam has held the positions of Wellbeing Lead, Home Administrator, Care Team Leader and Deputy Manager, before spending two years as the Registered Manager of a domiciliary care company.

He is thrilled to be back ‘home’ at Maun View and is committed to providing the best quality of life to each and every resident. Sam has an abundance of experience in care and holds a Level 5 Leadership and Management in Health & Social Care Qualification.

Sam says ‘life at Maun View is about being part of a community; each day has new experiences, and we like to make each and every one’s day unique, from poem reading to fitness fun, from crafting to gardening or even getting ‘Alexa’ to play our favourite songs’.

Food & Nutrition

At Runwood Homes, we offer a full food and dining menu consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner along with snacks to suit all dietary requirements. For residents requiring textured food or modified food, rest assured that your loved one’s needs will also be catered for. We take into account meal preferences from each resident in our care and aim to provide their favourite meals that they are used to.

Activities & Events

Your loved one will benefit from a dedicated wellbeing lead within the home; they will organise and encourage social interactions with a range of engaging activities. The wellbeing lead will create an activity calendar taking into account your loved one’s interests and varying needs. Activities may include Music and singing sessions, arts and crafts, bingo, baking and visits to outside attractions etc.
