Meet Our Home Manager

Amanda Hawkes

I’ve been working in the care sector for 36 years starting at the age of 14 (working part-time in laundry). I realised at that young age that I loved being around the elderly and wanted to be around them more. I’ve worked my way up from care to senior to deputy manager to being a home manager. I have a caring, empathetic attitude to people and I’m always available to chat to everybody whenever they need someone to listen. Thank you for taking the time to view Liberty House. Food & Nutrition

At Runwood Homes, we offer a full food and dining menu consisting of breakfast, lunch and dinner along with snacks to suit all dietary requirements. For residents requiring textured food or modified food, rest assured that your loved one’s needs will also be catered for. We take into account meal preferences from each resident in our care and aim to provide their favourite meals that they are used to.

Activities & Events

Your loved one will benefit from a dedicated wellbeing lead within the home; they will organise and encourage social interactions with a range of engaging activities. The wellbeing lead will create an activity calendar taking into account your loved one’s interests and varying needs. Activities may include Music and singing sessions, arts and crafts, bingo, baking and visits to outside attractions etc.
