Runwood to celebrate first employees achieving new CHAP's status

Please join us to celebrate the first Graduation of Runwood Homes employees who have achieved Care Home Assistant Practitioner status. Care team members from Jubilee Court, Maun View and Braywood Gardens residential care homes have been the first Runwood Homes employees to complete the course to become Care Home Assistant Practitioners and will each be presented with a certificate during the celebration.

The Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) role was developed as part of an industry-wide initiative with Care England, a representative of independent care providers. The role reflects the changing care needs of our residents and provides our most promising carers with the opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop their skills and careers.

CHAP are trained to assist Nurses in many nursing procedures resulting in reducing hospital admissions and better outcomes in patient/resident care.
