With decades of experience, Gordon has remained committed to continually improving care, while leading the development of high-quality, purpose-built and refurbished care homes across the UK

Dr Gavin O’Hare-Connolly
Dr Gavin O’Hare-Connolly brings extensive experience in the health and social care sector, having held senior leadership roles across major UK healthcare providers. Having previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Runwood Homes, he offers over 20 years of clinical and leadership expertise. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Health and Social Care, Gavin plays a key role in leading the organisation and maintaining high standards across all services.
Business Development Director
Sarah Sanders
Sarah Sanders brings over 20 years of experience in the health and social care sector and has been part of Runwood Homes since 2003. With a strong background in HR, learning and development, and operational roles, she offers valuable hands-on expertise. Passionate about dementia care, Sarah focuses on supporting teams across the homes while leading wellbeing and dementia services, ensuring person-centred care remains at the heart of the organisation
Director of Construction & Facilities
Tommy Sanders
Tommy brings extensive experience in construction and facilities management within the care sector. He has played a key role in the development of both new-build and refurbished care homes, working closely with architects to create high-quality, fit-for-purpose environments. Tommy also oversees maintenance, supplies, emergency response, and operational facilities, ensuring Runwood Homes operates smoothly and efficiently

Bill Sharp
Bill brings extensive leadership and financial expertise to Runwood Homes, supporting the effective management of the organisation and the delivery of high-quality care. He plays a key role in overseeing strategic direction, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability, contributing to the smooth running of the homes and the continued success of the group.

Susan Friend
Susan brings extensive experience in human resources and has been a valued member of the Runwood Homes team since 2017. She leads the organisation’s HR strategy, ensuring the wellbeing of both residents and staff remains central to everything we do. Susan’s expertise supports the smooth running of the homes and the continued development of a skilled and motivated workforce.

Anne-Marie is a highly experienced healthcare and management professional, with a strong track record in delivering compassionate care and supporting resident well-being. Combining her clinical background as a Registered Nurse with an MBA, she brings both clinical insight and strategic leadership to Runwood Homes. Anne-Marie plays a key role in inspiring teams, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring the smooth and effective running of the homes
