Four Acres care home in Warwickshire visited by In2Cultures and host Mother and Toddler Group.
Four Acres in Warwickshire recently were treated to a visit from In2Cultures, an award winning creative arts team. Staff from In2Cultures did a wonderful African Music workshop with Four Acres’ residents, staff and visitors. Residents were encouraged to take part in the session by playing the instruments, singing along, and even dancing if they wanted to. Both Liz and Devinder from In2Cultures have a passion for African percussion and multicultural creative arts, and love sharing their knowledge and expertise with everyone they work with.
Staff at Four Acres said “It was a fabulous experience and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.”
Residents also enjoyed their monthly visit from two members of the local community, Jo and Nina, and their children. They brought along a quiz which they did with the residents and even gave out prizes. Quizzes are great for mental stimulation, especially for those living with dementia.
Four Acres also hosted their Mother and Toddler group, called ‘Monster Mischief”, and were joined by many families from the local community, and everyone involved had a magical time.
Residents got up to lots more fun, playing dominos and scrabble, making Rice Krispies cakes and even taking part in an armchair exercise class.
