Dementia sensory project presentation to Heron Court care home residents

At Heron Court in Brentwood, Essex -

Many, many thanks to Campion School A Level student, Lily Caton, who visited our residents at Heron Court care home in Brentwood Road, Herongate, to present the fantastic results of her Design and Technology project.

Lily decided she wanted to base her project on producing sensory products for elderly people who are living with the effects of dementia. Lily’s activity table was very well received; the residents of Heron Court care home in Brentwood were both impressed with Lily’s skilful work and thrilled to have the opportunity to explore the various textures, activities and movements that the piece presented.

We are sure that Lily’s mentors are incredibly pleased with her work, just as we all are at Runwood Homes. Congratulations Lily, and thank you once again for helping to enrich the lives of our residents.
