Very proud to be Awarded CQC Good

Our reassuring response to Coronavirus:

We are pleased to say that our home is Covid-free. As such, viewings may take place, and new residents are able to move in safely. We are pleased to enable garden visits for our current residents and their families and friends.

Our kind and compassionate care team has completed bespoke Covid-19 training and our extra precautionary infection prevention and control measures means that we are operating very safely to best protect those we care for.

We continue to follow all Government guidelines and have an ongoing supply of PPE. Covid-19 testing kits are available in addition to the testing already completed, and we regularly monitor the general health of everyone in our home to ensure a good, person-centred service.

Why Choose Us?

At Westwood, our aim is to practise ‘person centred’ care for all our residents, and our friendly and highly trained staff are available 24 hours a day to meet your needs.

We understand the value of individuality, so you will be able to personalise your accommodation with special familiar items you may wish to have around you, such as a favourite chair or pictures to go on the wall.

We take pride in our activities programme, and you will have the option to join in organised activities if you wish to do so. Our activity coordinators seek out and listen to residents who may have hobbies or pastimes, in addition to arranging a whole variety of activities and entertainment to stimulate all residents.

Mealtimes are, to many, the highlight of the day and all of our meals are made of fresh produce, prepared by our own chefs and catering teams. We undertake to provide a nutritious and balanced diet around your preferences; we like our residents to have a say in what they eat as they did at home.

Choosing a care home can be an intimidating process, so why not come and visit us at Westwood? We wish to understand everything that is important to you, so on your visit we will discuss your needs and how best we can meet them, as well as giving you the opportunity to look around and ask questions. If you are unable to visit, we will arrange for a staff member to call on you at your home or other place of your choosing at your convenience.

We look forward to welcoming you to Westwood soon.

Tea Room

The Westwood Tea Room benefitted from a re-fit in 2019, giving it a more light and spacious feel. The cafe is a comfortable and welcoming environment for our residents to enjoy and entertain friends and family. Using the kitchen aream, residents are able to assist in preparing drinks and refreshments for their loved ones just as they would do at home. Residents also enjoy regular community coffee mornings in the cafe, as it plays host to the perfect place to socialise.

What our clients have to say about us

Starting from management down to carers and cleaning ladies, everyone is really pleasant and willing to help us. Always trying to please everyone helping them to join in all the activities available. Thank you so much.
