Harold Prior, resident at Jubilee Court in Nottinghamshire, recently celebrated his 88th birthday

Wellbeing Lead Dina Dias invited Harold to celebrate his birthday at her home with her family, and arranged for a Portuguese special menu made for Harold.

In the afternoon, Harold celebrated his birthday with his fellow residents and staff at Jubilee Court with a tea party, where he was entertained by staff who led a sing-a-long. Harold was then presented with a special birthday cake made by the homes chef. When asked about his secret to a long life, Harold replied “A happy life. Enjoy your work and never let things get you down.”

Dina, Wellbeing Lead at Jubilee Court, said “I was very proud to be able to prepared a Portguese special meal at our home for Harold. He is a big part of our community here at Jubilee Court and it was a really happy day for Harold, surrounded by all the residents and staff. It was a very special and emotional moment for me and my family.”
