Jubilee Court in Hucknall, Nottingham, have had a lovely time celebrating both resident and staff birthdays and anniversaries, as well as planning to celebrate Wear It Pink Day 2019.
Two residents at Jubilee Court, Mavis and Dave, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together. Staff arranged for them both to have a cake which they were presented with and able to blow out the candles together.
Mavis and Dave were not the only ones at Jubilee Court celebrating. Staff member and nurse, Helen, was also surprised with a lovely birthday cake in front of the home. Wishing all at Jubilee Court happy celebrations.
Staff and residents at Jubilee Court will also be taking part in Wear It Pink Day this year again, a cause that strives to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer. The local community are getting involved by donating pink items of clothing to residents at Jubilee, and staff members will be wearing pink crochet flowers. The Co-Op are also lending a hand in donating pink flowers to residents. All donations will be sent to Breast Cancer Now in order to support breast cancer research.
