Update regarding Lateral Flow Testing as of 14 December 2021

Update regarding Lateral Flow Covid-19 Tests as of 14 December 2020 from Runwood Homes.

Please be advised that a decision has been made not to commence Lateral Flow Tests in our care homes at this moment in time.  This is because there are concerns regarding the accuracy of the Lateral Flow Tests, including nationally and shared by other social care providers. 

We wish to research the risks associated with the programme, and better understand the risks associated, and the risk management processes that Runwood Homes need to put in place, to continue to best protect everyone.

We will update you when we are ready to commence testing, but in the meantime lateral flow tests are not supported, and people should continue to utilise our new visiting pods to see their loved ones.
