Leawood Manor in Nottingham have been keeping busy from an extra special collaborating with the University of Nottingham, to trips out to the cinema.
Leawood staff and residents collaborated on the study “Using computer technology to enable arts and crafts for people with dementia in care homes”. The study, conducted by Professor Justine Schneider and PhD candidate Aline Cavalcanti Barroso are researching the understanding of the use of computer technology in care homes, and thanked all those involved, saying: “Your homes participation on this research has been invaluable, and we hope that we can aid more care homes and residents with the results that will come from it.”

Residents at Leawood Manor were also busy with their recent outing to the local cinema. The residents went along to a dementia friendly screening to watch ‘On The Town’, which they all thoroughly enjoyed.
