Residents at Loganberry Lodge in Colchester, Essex, have been keeping busy throughout their October.

Residents have been keeping busy and taking part in various activities at Loganberry Lodge. In August Runwood Homes implemented a new initiative, ‘Tools Down’, which encourages staff to stop what they’re doing at 11am every day and come together with residents.

For a period of 30 minutes, staff halt their tasks to spend quality time together with our residents, including those who are limited to their bedrooms, to enjoy conversation, company and to grow companions. Once a month on a Saturday residents are visited by local Stanway Sewing Club who bring some of their members to the home to engage the residents in knitting and also to provide companionship and encourage conversation. Residents at Loganberry love getting together with the Sewing Club and discussing new designs and projects, as well as having some tea and cake and a catch up with their friends.
