Residents at Rowena House visit Doncaster Museum for Dementia Session

Residents at Rowena House in Conisbrough, South Yorkshire, were very kindly invited to be part of an art session held at the Doncaster Museum for people living with dementia. The sessions are held every Tuesday morning until December and are run by Kate Hall, who uses a number of techniques, such as watercolour paint, rope and other materials. Wellbeing lead Gail Walker took resident Susan along. During their first session they painted a picture of the museum, and then Kate handed out some memory boxes which brought back some fond memories.

Staff at Rowena House said, “One of our residents, Susan, said she really enjoyed the session and would love to go back for more.”
