Runwood Homes Residents Celebrate The Royal Wedding
The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is upon us! Our residents have enjoyed decorating their homes, creating hats and fascinators, baking cakes and planning lots of other activities to mark the momentous occasion.
We wish Prince Harry and the future Princess, Miss Meghan Markle, a wonderful Wedding Day and many many magical years together as husband and wife.
Here’s what some of our residents have planned as Harry and Meghan tie the knot:
Hosting a street party on 17 May with sparkling wine accompanied by scones with jam and cream served in the foyer.
Hosting a Royal Wedding party consisting of an afternoon tea party in the garden, weather permitting.
Hosting a cream tea afternoon on 18 May to celebrate. An entertainer will also be singing to the residents and their guests.
Bramwell residents and staff will dress up for a Buffet Tea Party on the 19 May, and will be entertained by a singer. Residents have made hats and invitation cards for the day.
Victoria House Day Care Centre
Hosting a wedding street party starting at 1pm, attended by all our local councillors, with 70 expected guests. Victoria House has a wonderful display at the day care centre too.
In the run up to the Royal Wedding, Park View residents have received invitations, made fascinators to wear on the day and have created a gallery displaying copies of residents wedding photos. A garden party with homemade wedding cake followed by a Royal themed quiz will be enjoyed by all on the day.
Hosting a Royal Wedding celebration and have invited all families and friends of residents. A buffet will be served and an entertainer will create a really wonderful atmosphere to mark the occasion.
Hosting a big garden party on the 17 May - men will be wearing shirt and tie and women will be wearing lovely dresses, making everyone feel very special and part of the Wedding Day.
A singer will entertain our residents and their families during a Royal Wedding afternoon tea in the garden on Friday 18 May. This will coincide with the Deputy Mayor who will be coming to the revamped Café at Windle Court.
At Low Furlong -Stour Tea Rooms a light buffet will accompany the screened wedding service, followed by a BBQ and Pimms in the garden. All families, friends and local community guests welcome.
