Cathy Burgum is an accomplished professional with over 20 years’ experience in Social Care, Staff Training and Senior Management roles and responsibilities throughout England, mainly in the Midlands, North East and West, Essex and Norfolk.
Cathy previously worked as a Sales and Marketing Consultant for 88 homes and also worked with corporate organisations in Regional roles including Quality Assurance, Home Management and Regional Leadership to homes providing elderly Nursing and Residential Care. Cathy used her expertise to develop effective management systems with Home Managers, for Home Managers. In her years as Registered Home Manager, she has experience of working with Young Physically Disabled and Elderly Residential and Dementia Nursing.
Cathy has qualifications for Leadership in Management, Teaching, Dementia Care Mapping, Intermediate Health and Safety and Cleaning Science.
Prior to working for Runwood Homes, Cathy has worked with non-compliant care homes in crisis, working to achieve positive outcomes with Local Authorities and CQC. She has a wealth of experience in dealing with complex safeguarding cases and has excellent partnership working skills, embracing a culture of openness and transparency.
As Regional Operations Director, Cathy oversees a portfolio of 9 homes.
