Runwood brings residents together at summertime garden lunch date

Ruwnood Homes Senior Living staff hosted a successful summertime get together enjoyed by residents at Tallis House in Waltham Abbey and Alexandra House in Harlow.

Residents at the two Essex-based residential care homes came together in the garden of Alexandra House on Friday 3 August to socialise and establish new friendships. Residents from Tallis House and Alexandra House really enjoyed their joint lunch date, combining their alfresco meal time with sharing stories and memories whilst getting to know one another.

Home Managers and Activity Coordinators from both homes thought that their close proximity made a wonderful opportunity for the residents to get together as a new experience to encourage interaction and conversation with other likeminded older people, some of whom are living with the effects of dementia.
