Runwood Homes’ support Breast Cancer Now in #WearItPink campaign

In association with Breast Cancer Now, several of our residential care homes participated in the #WearItPink campaign on 19 October. The Breast Cancer Now charity aims to raise funds for life-saving breast cancer research and our professional care teams, residents as well as their relatives and friends of our residential care homes were all keen to get involved.

The fun atmosphere to get dressed up and showcase our pink garments and accessories created a really enjoyable experience for our residents. Vibrant colours, baking and crafts, nail painting and coming together for a good cause is not only rewarding, it provides gives a sense of satisfaction to help others, which in turn helps to ensure our residents wellbeing.

The Grange in Wickford, Essex, Jubilee Court Care Home with Nursing in Hucknall, Nottingham, Windle Court in South Woodham Ferrers and Park View in Witham, Essex, all shared their photographs with us. Please read more details below.

The Grange in Wickford, Essex, raised around £100.

Jubilee Court in Hucknall, Nottingham, created pink crochet flowers prior to the event to pop on our residents clothes.

Windle Court residential care home in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, helped to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for the charity.

Park View in Witham, Essex, raised over £120; residents, visitors, staff and residents all together made a pink effort to raise money for cancer awareness and enjoyed very pink cakes!
