Residents at Weavers House in Cookstown, County Tyrone, got stuck in making some beautiful Christmas decorations for the home.
Staff provided arts supplies so that residents could make festive figures from mop heads, socks and felt. Residents also made Christmas wreaths from cardboard, real pine cones, dried orange slices and cinnamon - and they turned out great!
Fun arts and craft sessions allow the residents to take part in a creative activity whilst encouraging them to talk about their favourite Christmas memories. Homemade Christmas is the feeling our residents wanted to present in the home, and they also made homemade crackers and clay ornaments for their tress. The homes garden bicycle was revamped and draped with fairy lights with a fresh Christmas pansitta plant to give it the Christmas feeling.
