Windmill House welcomes new Gentlemen’s Club and special musician
Residents at Windmill House have been battling off weekly in their Gentlemen’s Club with card games. The group, who have named themselves the ‘rat-pack’, have their own tankards and enjoy a selection of card games every Tuesday. Card games are a great activity for elderly people, especially those living with dementia, as it often brings back memories of their childhoods and provides mental simulation.
The home also welcomed a Peter Piper Therapeutic Musician to perform for residents. Residents loved having him play all of their favourite songs for them. He commented, saying “Windmill House is one of my favourites to visit. And the Gentlemen’s Club is just like a pub, what a great atmosphere.”
Windmill House is residential care home in Wymondham, Norfolk, with 57 private bedrooms, relaxing lounges and charming dining areas. This beautiful and spacious Norfolk care home provides expert care for older people, including those living with dementia, and is proudly rated 'Outstanding' by England's health and social care regulator, the Care Quality Commission.
